Are you using Facebook Ads in your Business in Fashion? Have you ever taught to use it to target your local customers?
Even if you have a fashion business selling products or services, you can always target your local customers to bring to your store or to bring to your trunk show, to a trade fair or to an event you are organizing.
I’ll give you some examples, so you can understand better, what I’m saying.
My flagshipstore of my jewelry brand Maiden-Art, is in Angera (Varese), Italy and I want to target my local customers in my area near Varese, so I can create a Facebook ads with a local target to reach local people and get them to come and visit my store.
Instead, if you are a service business, for example let’s say, you are a personal shopper and you are organizing an event, where you will present yourself and your services and you would like to target local people, you can still use Facebook Ads with local target to get people to come to your event.
Does it make sense?
Now, I gonna explain you deeply, how it works and what I did for my jewelry brand for my physical store in Italy.
I decided to create a Facebook Ad for Local target for my boutique in Angera (Varese), Italy and I wanted to offer a giveaway choker necklace to only Women in my local target.
Basically, I’ve created 2 Facebook ads in Italian, one with a picture and one with a video, for my local target of Women from 18 to 65 years old, and I offered them to come to my store, if they wanted to receive my giveaway choker necklace for FREE.
Below you can find the 2 Facebook Local Ads.
- In the first one, I used a picture of me wearing the necklace, I’m giving away for free.
2. In the second one, I used a video of me wearing the necklace, I’m giving away for free and during the video, I asked people to come and visit my store to get the free necklace giveaway.
Both of the 2 Facebook ads, had the Call-to-Action “Learn more” (“Scopri di più” in Italian) and when people clicked on the Call-to-Action button, I drove them to an optin page ( for who doesn’t know what is an optin page, it’s a single web page with the sole purpose of capturing information/emails for follow-up marketing and It’s used most for list building.
I gonna talk deeply about optin pages and all the list building techniques, I usually use, for my fashion biz and that you should definitely use them, too).

I’ve created my optin page using Leadpages, an easy and amazing tool that generates leads and sales for your business on the web, in emails, via text messaging, and on social media.

For the emails follow up sequence, I use usually, Getresponse ( I spoke about this amazing software, I use daily for my direct email marketing campaigns, in one of my previous post that you can read again here).
When people sign up with their email address to my optin page, they’ll receive a coupon code, to bring to my store, so with that, they can receive my giveaway choker necklace for free.
Let’s see now , how to create a Facebook Ads Local for your Business in Fashion in 3 STEPS:
- STEP: Choose your Facebook Ads Objective > Reach People near your business.
- STEP: Choose your Ad set > Page, Audience, Placements, Budget and Schedule.
Page > my jewelry biz Maiden-Art
Audience > I wanted to reach Women from 18 to 65 in my local area Angera (Varese), Italy.
I decided to reach my audience 20km around Angera. You can choose the radius you prefer. You can do even more 40km or 70 km near your area. As you prefer.
Placements > I usually leave Automatic, so Facebook will do it for you.
Budget and Schedule > I usually do $ 5.00 or 10.00 Dollars or Euros per day, and I adjust my budget during the campaign.
Usually with the objective REACH PEOPLE NEAR YOUR BUSINESS, I’ve seen the cost per leads is cheaper than that with objective Increase conversions on your website.
Normally, I run my Facebook Ads campaigns for 5 days. I think it’s the best time to see the results.
- STEP : Create your Ad with Format, Media and Set.
In my Facebook Ad Local campaign I tried both single Image and Video. And I got better results with Video.
The Call-To-Action Button, as said before, I used “learn more” because usually, It has worked better for me.
For the Destination, I’ve used my optin page, made with Leadpages.
For the Text of the Ad: I usually use a question, because for my biz, it converts much better to optin in.
Also don’t forget to add a Facebook pixel to your optin page to track coversions.
This is an amazing strategy for my jewelry business and my flagshipstore, because I keep building my list, I bring people to my store and they see directly my products, they get a freebie/giveaway, the free choker necklace (so they can taste my jewelry for free) if they like my jewelry collections for Women and Men, they can buy in my store or another time online.
